International Miss Macra Crowned

Clonoulty-Rossmore Macra na Feirme are delighted to announce that Josephine O’Neill of Callan Macra, Co. Kilkenny was crowned International Miss Macra 2018 in the early hours of August Bank Holiday Monday. Trisha Delahunty, representing Seandún and Rebecca Brunt, representing Fermanagh were first and second runner-up respectively.

Speaking afterwards Josephine said, ‘Since winning the competition, the last few days have been an absolute whirlwind! The messages of support and the media coverage have been unbelievable! I look forward to my year representing the wonderful organisation that is Macra na Feirme, the International Miss Macra Festival, my club and county and my family!

Clonoulty-Rossmore Macra members would like to thank all the sponsors of this year’s festival especially, Michaels Jewellers, the Anner Hotel, FBD Insurance, Tipperary Co-Ops, Gleeson’s Concrete, Mid Tipp Mart, Thurles Credit Union, Breen’s Farm Machinery, O’Connor Julian Veterinary Hospital.

They would also like to commend the PRO’s of the various local Macra clubs, county executives and family and friends of the contestants who helped to ensure that all the contestants were so well supported and the festival so well attended. It certainly added to the atmosphere and was appreciated by the contestants too.

Rally Delegate Reminder

Club secreteries and all club officers must be registered with the Macra Affiliations Officer Deborah McGarr by August 31st in order to guarantee those clubs receive adequate notice regarding Rally Delegate packs.
