Emergency First Aid and Health courses are scheduled at the Clonakilty GAA Complex on Saturday 6th April and at the Kilmurray Lodge Hotel, Limerick on Saturday 18th May.

Macra Agricultural Skillnet’s complete Ultrasound Scanning Course is delivered in four phases. Participants may be interested in completing individual phases to suit their learning needs, from a basic knowledge to advanced ultrasound scanning. The first 3 phases are as follows:  Phase 1 will run from Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th March 2019 on a farm on the Kildare / Wicklow border. The course runs from Monday to Friday. Phase 2 is offered at intervals throughout the year - book now or contact us for more info. Phase 3 will be available where there is demand Participants must have AI experience to complete a scanning course.  The course is open to both members and non-members of Macra na Feirme. Lynaire Ryan, Dairy Consultant from New Zealand,will deliver seminars to previous Business Brush Up attendees only. Business Brush Up Recap and Farm Visit on Wednesday 12th June at the Conference Centre, Food Research Centre, Moorepark, followed by a visit to the farm of John & Olivia McNamara, Co. Limerick on Friday 14th June at a cost of €100. High Performing Farm Visit on Friday 14th June to the farm of Barry and Olive Bateman, West Cork and then to Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig for an optional extra dinner. Costis €50. Business Overview 2019 will be delivered over two days and covers key principles and learnings important for providing an overview of any business, including farm businesses.  Farmers/ business people who have used these principles in their business will share their experiences.
